Travel Around Greece

There are bus lines in Attica that can lead you in every part of
Greece. The KTEL of Attica is in operation since 1955. Today, it
includes all the bus lines of the prefecture of Attica along with the
line leading to Thessaloniki. There are also KTEL bus stations in
Volos, Larissa, Argolida and other locations which can lead you
everywhere.

Greece is a wonderful place to backpack. However, I would certainly suggest
it be done in spring or summer to enjoy the full benefits of the meditteranean weather.

Greece is all about its lovely beaches. It may not always be a clean option but everyone enjoys a bit of island hopping. A tour of Greece in spring is ideal if you are into
the historic side of the country. There are many options around Greece's mainland and the islands (Athens, Thessaloniki, Santorini, Crete etc).

Greek transport has improved dramaticaly over the past few years. Well, this is mainly due to the 2004 Athens Olympics but it is an important step in the right direction.
